Thoughts sprout from my head like wispy hair, slowly, insistently. They buzz in a whirling cloud around me, wavering in the wind. Perhaps, I should seek a barber of cerebration and get a short back and sides.

Interesting take, liking the barber of cerebration, sounds like a lobotomy could be in order if he’s not careful

I relate to this, Neil. I don’t think a barber can help.

Uncontrolled thoughts can be a bit hair-raising. Time for a trim to be sure.

I think we could all do with a bit of pruning from time to time.

Only by a trained barber of course

You’ve created an intriguing and somewhat disquieting image, using some carefully chosen language – sprout, wispy, “buzz in a whirling cloud”.

I’m pleased you noticed the vocabulary. Thanks, Penny

What a beautifully poetic description of the incessant thinking process – which i know so well!
I like your solution. Now where can I find such a barber…?

Now that made me laugh! Good idea, Neil!

I’d fight that barber with comb and blade! Even though some thoughts might better stay unthought, do we really want a stranger to cut around? Great take!

Sometimes you just have to pull the whole clump up by the roots

Clearly not a day to celebrate. I’d put the barber on hold till you feel better.

Perhaps not a day to cerebrate either

Love your play on words. Short and succinct and I dunno… I’d be afraid they’d cut off too much and leave him without thoughts whatsoever.

You’re fortunate. The only thing that sprout from most men’s head is unruly hair in the ears & noses.

Strangely when I had hair my muse used it to hide from me. Now I look like a medieval monk, my muse can’t stop the bubbling rubbish.😉
