She loved the ring. Of course she did; who wouldn’t?—a cluster of garnets set in a silver mount. Bling! And its tech features charmed her—the monitoring of heart rate, movement and sleep patterns. With the GPS tracker, I know exactly where she is at every moment. That’s true love. We have a bond.

Dear Neil,
Love? A true control freak/stalker is more like it. Creepy indeed.

My son has an app on his phone where he can tell the exact location of my grandson, now 16. I can sort of see the point but yes, it is creepy.

Neil, it wouldn’t surprise me if such things existed. My stomach is lurching. She will be fine as long as she doesn’t try to get away from him. Good visceral story.

A nice neat story of our times. In Austen’s day tracking a sweetheart meant at least one man and a horse. In 1950’s New York probably a yellow cab and a gossip. In any era, your girl needs to get rid of the creep double quick.

Oh my…this is so real. If they had this sort of thing when I was younger I’ll bet my first husbands would have given me at least one piece of bling like this!
What a world what a world!
