Mustard, Plum or White? Which of them entered and left a locked room? Mustard is not who he claims—no Colonel he. But a murderer? Likewise, White is trying to conceal her liaison with Plum, but perhaps only out of delicacy.
Let’s consider our assumptions, mes amis . Well, since the murderer could not have got out, they did not do so. They were still in the room when the body was discovered, escaping when the chambermaid set up the hue and cry. And that means the killer is Mustard, because Plum and White were seen together at the time.

Speaking French, is this the detective Hercule Poirot?

Could be. Or a spin-off

oh Neil I do love a game of Cluedo great tale – but is Mustard the killer … What if Mustard was in the room not as the killer, but as a witness who was also hiding – while the real killer is one of the two lovers who orchestrated the discovery? My little grey cells are working overtime 😅

When you have eliminated all the other possibilities, whatever remains must be the truth

Yes Holmes is usually right …. But maybe the truth is the thing we haven’t even thought to ask about yet?? 🤔😀

I see Reverend Green is keeping a low profile in all this. Probably for the best. Nice one, Neil. We went along similar lines it seems.

But then Mustard accuses the chambermaid. He hid, because he’s had an illicit affair with the murder victim and saw it all. Can the chambermaid prove that it wasn’t her? Who is lying?

Cluedo is a brilliant game, pity some players get emotionally carried away, so it is always the woman. Miss White gone and did it, don’t be fooled.

It was Colonel Mustard in the locked room with a…pistol or maybe a candelabra? Good one.

Reading the comments, is the game called “cluedo” in the UK? It’s “Clue” here in the USA.
